TECHCON 2010: Technology and Talent for the 21st Century
Instructions for Submitting Oral Presentation Materials
DEADLINE IS AUGUST 24, 2010
- Please follow these instructions carefully; our time and resources to solve problems will be very limited.
- Presentation at TECHCON 2010 will be by computer projection. Each student is required to submit electronic files for his/her presentation by August 24, 2010.
- Save your presentation in PowerPoint or .PDF format, and submit via the online submission form. SRC computers are loaded with PowerPoint 2007. If you choose to use .PDF format, you will be unable to make changes during the review session prior to the beginning of TECHCON. If changes must be made, please bring an updated copy on a memory stick. In the notes field of the online submission form, please include the following information: Paper #_first initial last name_ research identification number, e.g., 1.1_jdoe_6080 Your paper number was included in your acceptance letter for TECHCON 2010.
- Please refer to the Guidelines for 4-Page Papers and Electronic Submission if you have questions about submitting your oral presentation online.
- Your presentation will be filed on an SRC computer prior to TECHCON as follows: Paper #_first initial last name_research identification number, e.g., 1.1_jdoe_6080
- Presentations will be available for review in the Rio Grande Exhibit Hall on the
lower level according to the schedule below (please refer to your award letter for your
session number):
Sessions Set-up Time Sessions 1 - 4 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm Sessions 5 - 8 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sessions 9 - 12 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sessions 13 - 16 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm - A session map will be available at poster set-up. Staff will be available to be sure your presentation is correct and filed appropriately for projection at TECHCON. All paper presentations must be reviewed by 9:00 pm; posters must also be up by 9:00 pm (Poster Instructions are a separate file in the Author's Kit). Presentation files reviewed at this time will be used for projection at TECHCON 2009 and will be available on the SRC website after the conference as part of the TECHCON 2009 Proceedings. Please note the 5:00 p.m. start time when you are making your travel arrangements; we have A LOT of presentations to review; we very much appreciate you following the schedule!
- Poster set-up begins at 5:00 p.m. in the Rio Grande Exhibit Hall.
- Please review your presentation on an SRC computer at the scheduled time to be sure fonts, etc. are correct. No review or changes will be permitted after the Sunday evening session.
