TechFair at TECHCON 2010

Over the two days of TECHCON 2010, TechFair will provide the forum for networking and synergy between industry and university researchers, and between researchers from different universities. We expect to hear many lively discussions, new ideas, and new twists on previous concepts! Students are prepared to discuss their research in overview or in detail and welcome the opportunity for this interaction with industry experts.

Added to the series of posters about various SRC awards and programs are posters for two new SRC research initiatives: National Institute for Nanoengineering (NINE) and the Energy Research Initiative (ERI). This poster series is designed to help members stay current on exciting ventures across SRC.

Staff in the SRC booth will be hosting tours of the new SRC website. The new site melds together all SRC programs into a single easy-to-use website and boasts new personalization and customization features designed with users in mind. Be sure to stop by and check it out!

AND – an exciting addition to this year’s TechFair is a section of 30 posters from the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (URO). For many of these students, this will be their first “big conference” experience, so please stop by and make them welcome. (Watch for an upcoming web article with more details.)

When you come to TechFair, be prepared for a dazzling array of poster presentations – 189! – representing research from all SRC research programs – GRC, FCRP, and NRI – and URO. AND look forward to one-on-one discussions with students (and often their faculty advisors) who are performing research of special or potential interest to your company. This is your opportunity for a look at the future of the industry as the next generation of leaders presents the research that will shape the technologies of the future.
