TECHCON 2010: Technology and Talent for the 21st Century

A Tradition of High Quality

Since its inception in 1990, the quality of presentations at TECHCON Conferences has gotten better and better. A comment from Wilbert van den Hoek, SRC Board of Directors Member from Novellus Systems:

Wilbert van den Hoak, Novellus Systems: The papers at TECHCON are of a uniformly high quality. There is no other conference were the quality of the papers is consistently so high. The clear instructions (addressing format and relevancy to the industry) provided by the SRC to the speakers and the awards process that helps the adherence to these guidelines are big contributors to the consistently high quality of the papers. I am personally happy if I hear one or two relevant high quality papers at a technical conference. In the case of TECHCON, it is more like a dozen good and relevant papers.

And from other TECHCON 2009 attendees:

  • I like having TECHCON in Austin! A good central location.
  • Student presentations are all very well prepared - a great conference!
  • The students and student presentations/posters are great.
  • I appreciated having adequate time during the poster sessions to meet with each author of interest, and the fact that authors were actually at their posters.
  • Food was great. Website tour was great. Keynote was great. Best TECHCON yet wouldn't change anything!
  • Great to meet really smart field-specific company people who are always eager and enthusiastic to know the students.
  • The availability of industry contacts is incredible. This is a very valuable event for students
  • This is a very well planned and executed conference. I enjoyed every moment of TECHCON 2009. I'm looking forward to 2010 now!
  • The best part of TECHCON is TechFair.
  • [SRC] through TECHCON and other opportunities, provide the students a feeling that they matter
  • TECHCON has become a premier conference

TECHCON 2010 promises to continue this tradition of quality with 144 papers representing research from FCRP, GRC, and NRI. Join us in Austin September 13 & 14 for TECHCON 2010!
