Author's Kit: Guidelines for Short Biography, Photo, and URL

This information will be used on a profile sheet that will be placed by SRC on your poster display board at TECHCON 2016. These items are due to SRC no later than July 12, 2016. Profile sheets will be created and sent to our printer, so we cannot guarantee that information sent after July 12 will be included.

Please follow file naming conventions, we have many files to process and match up to the correct profiles.

Short Biography

• Bio should be 250 words or less
• File name: Last Name.First Name.DOC or .TXT
• The website that we were using for you to submit your short bios and photos is not working. Please submit your bios and photos as attachments to techcon@src.org. The due date is July 12^th.  If you have already submitted your information using the Filesanywhere link we need you to resubmit it to the email address. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Photo

Your photo can be casual or more business oriented, but should be appropriate for a work place setting.

• Photo should be a head shot and able to be printed at a size of about 2-inch square
• File name: Last Name.First Name.JPG or .PNG
• The website that we were using for you to submit your short bios and photos is not working. Please submit your bios and photos as attachments to techcon@src.org. The due date is July 12^th.  If you have already submitted your information using the Filesanywhere link we need you to resubmit it to the email address. We apologize for the inconvenience.

URL

The URL should link to your LinkedIn page or other personal website. We will be turning this link into a QR code. We will be creating a Linked In group for presenters and company recruiters.  If you are looking for networking opportunities or future employment, I recommend using a LinkedIn profile for your URL.  It is a great resource and way to stay in touch with people you meet at the conference as you network and look for employment.

• To submit your URL, log onto the SRC website and Edit your Student Profile (www.src.org/app/account/edit/education/).  There is a field in the form for your website or personal URL. Please add your URL to the profile form and save.
