Author's Kit: Presentation Skills
Many of you have made oral presentations before, but we can all sharpen our skills!
A few basic pointers that most of you already know
- Speak clearly, slow down
- Be very careful about repeating a word or phrase, e.g., “So….,” or “You know…”
- Practice your presentation enough to be familiar with the content.
- Relax – this is the fun part!
Several good resources about presenting are available on the internet. Please read through at least one of these sources – more if you have time. Google presentation skills, there are many resources available.
