Yuuji Ichisugi

Yuuji Ichisugi is a Research Scientist working at Artificial Intelligence Research Center (AIRC) of National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Japan.  He received Doctor of Science from the University of Tokyo in 1993.  Since 1993, he works at AIST (formerly called Electrotechnical Laboratory).

His research theme was reflective computation, parallel programming languages and software engineering.
Since 2005, he has been studying the computational model of the cerebral cortex, and aims to realize new deep learning architecture using the restricted Bayesian network BESOM.
