Accurate Spectral Testing with Non-coherent Sampling for Multi Tone Applications

A new method was proposed that relaxed the non-coherent sampling requirement for multi-tone spectral testing. Both functionality and robustness examination validated the accuracy of proposed method, which is robust against any level of non-coherency, and is capable of tolerating a wide range of input signal frequencies. Furthermore, extensive measurement results validated the accuracy of the proposed method. Combined with its computational efficiency, it can be readily implement into bench test and BIST, to eliminate the need for coherent sampling, which dramatically relaxes the test setup for multi-tone test.
