FENA PhD Student Places in Society of Women Engineers Competition

Samia Subrina received the 3 rd place award in the nationwide research competition organized by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). The SWE nationwide research competition was sponsored by IBM, Dow Chemical and Rockwell corporations. The annual award was presented this month at the SWE National Conference held in Long Beach, California. Samia's award is the forth one received by the Nano-Device Laboratory electrical engineering students since 2007. The finalists for the SWE best research award were selected among many submissions nationwide. The research posters were judged by the representatives of the leading high-tech companies, government agencies and university faculty. The SWE National Conference is the largest and most comprehensive technical career event for women engineers.
