Layer-by-Layer: First Demonstration of Synthetic WSe(2) Accomplished at Penn State

Researchers at Pennsylvania State University have developed a means to synthesize crystalline layers of WSe2 in a variety of forms ranging from nanomesh to high-quality uniform electronic layers. The goal of the work is to continue to tune the properties for superior structural quality that will lead to high-mobility (>100 cm2/Vs) transport.
