Member Company Career Opportunities - This page is provided to assist SRC students in finding employment opportunities, both internships and regular full time positions, within SRC member companies. Links are provided to company home pages, employment pages, student pages, and an e-mail contact, where available.
National Science Foundation - Congress established the National Science Foundation (NSF) with the National Science Foundation Act of 1950 "to promote the progress of science; to advance the national health, prosperity and welfare; and to secure the national defense." With an annual budget of about $5.58 billion (fiscal year 2004), NSF funds the people, ideas and tools to boost U.S. leadership in all aspects of science, mathematics and engineering research and education. In contrast, other federal agencies support research focused on specific missions, such as health, energy or defense.
IEEE - The IEEE is a non-profit, technical professional association of more than 360,000 individual members in approximately 175 countries. Through its members, the IEEE is a leading authority in technical areas ranging from computer engineering, biomedical technology and telecommunications, to electric power, aerospace and consumer electronics, among others.
American Association of Engineering Societies - The American Association of Engineering Societies (AAES) is a multi-disciplinary organization of engineering societies dedicated to advancing the knowledge, understanding, and practice of engineering. AAES member societies represent the mainstream of U.S. engineering with more than one million engineers in industry, government, and academia.
Engineering Workforce Commission - AAES's Engineering Workforce Commission monitors engineering job statistics that help universities, corporations, and government set salary, hiring, enrollment, and degree trends in the marketplace. Each year it publishes three major surveys regarded as the most accurate, objective, and timely reports about the engineering workforce: Engineering and Technology Degrees, Engineering and Technology Enrollments, and Engineers' Salaries.
