SRC restructures its research program into eight science areas. And, in a precursor to web-based delivery, SRC distributes its Research Catalog on diskette, and make its Electronic Document Library available on CD.
Highlights
- As input to long-range strategic research planning, SRC commissions the first research gap analysis, highlighting important areas of semiconductor research that are not being addressed properly by SRC or the industry.
- The new Research Catalog and Electronic Document Library allow SRC participants to more easily track and access SRC research activities and results.
- To correspond to the Technology Working Groups of the Roadmap, SRC restructures its research program into eight science areas: Design; Environment, Safety & Health; Factory; Interconnect: Lithography: Materials and Bulk Processes; Packaging; and Process Integration and Device Sciences.
