Energy-Efficient Computing: from Devices to Architectures (E2CDA) A Joint Initiative between NSF and SRC
The National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) (notably GRC and NRI) have agreed to embark on a new collaborative research program to support compelling research that is of paramount importance to industry, academia and society at large. This partnership will specifically support new research to minimize the energy impacts of processing, storing, and moving data within future computing systems, and will be synergistic with other research activities that address other aspects of this overarching energy-constrained computing performance challenge.
The window for submitting proposals to NSF is January 4 to March 28, 2016. Please read the proposal on the NSF website for specific scopes of work, research of interest and Award types. SRC (specifically GRC and NRI) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) are jointly supporting the Energy-Efficient Computing: from Devices to Architectures (E2CDA) program.
