SRC has made significant progress in the creation of an Alumni Association over the last year. We have contact information for about 2500 SRC student alumni, have published two SRC Alumni Newsletters, and have launched a LinkedIn group. The next step is a face-to-face gathering!

A special luncheon will be held for SRC student alums on Monday, September 13, 12:10 in Guadalupe on the Atrium Level of the Renaissance Hotel in Austin in conjunction with TECHCON 2010; The event is intended to be the next step in SRC’s efforts to build an Alumni Association that is of value to its members and to SRC.

Celia Merzbacher (SRC VP for Innovative Partnerships) and Ginny Wiggins (Manager of SRC Student Programs) will host the event.  In addition to networking, the agenda will include results from the June 2010 Alumni Survey, and some exciting news related to SRC’s efforts to energize the SRC Education Alliance. And there is time for an open discussion; we would like to hear ideas from you about ways the Alumni Association can benefit you and ways you see yourself passing on to current and future students benefits you received as an SRC student.

An e-mail invitation was sent to SRC student alumni for whom we have contact information on August 17.  If you can attend this event, please respond to that invitation or send e-mail to alumni@src.org. If you know alumni that didn’t get the invitation, please pass the invitation along.
