SRC addresses OpenSSL Heartbleed Bug
Recently SRC, along with thousands of organizations, reacted quickly to install a patch for the bug named Heartbleed.
Heartbleed is a security bug in the open-source OpenSSL cryptography code library, widely used to implement the Internet's Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol.
SRC patched its web servers—these are the only SRC servers affected—on April 8, one day after the OpenSSL Security Advisory announced the patch. SRC's public key certificates have been re-issued and installed.
For those still getting up to speed, Forbes Magazine has some recommendations for Avoiding Heartbleed Hype and still keeping safe. SRC strongly recommends that you change your password for the SRC website.
