A Strategic Blueprint for Innovation

12-Mar-2024

In the fast-paced world of technology, staying ahead of the curve is not just advantageous; it's imperative. The semiconductor industry, serving as the cornerstone of modern innovation, stands at a pivotal moment in its evolution. Profound shifts in our daily lives loom on the horizon, catalyzed by the emergence of AI, autonomous vehicles, next-generation connectivity (such as 5G/6G), and breakthroughs in advanced materials. Against this backdrop, the imperative for strategic collaboration and innovation shines brighter than ever before.

Now is the time to capitalize on our strengths to propel the industry forward. As we stand on the cusp of transformative change, Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) is leading the way forward for industry and government alike, ready to revolutionize the technology landscape for a better tomorrow.

SRC released the Microelectronics and Advanced Packaging Technologies (MAPT) Roadmap in 2023. This roadmap, created and endorsed by a plethora of industry professionals and academic experts, charts a course for technological advancement. In the world of high technology, there is no time to waste. Our strategic blueprint will ensure that Natcast.org and the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC) hit the ground running.

Moreover, SRC is spearheading the creation of a CHIPS Manufacturing USA Institute. Announcing the Semiconductor Manufacturing and Research for Twins (SMART) USA Institute, a groundbreaking initiative that aims to supercharge innovation through public/private partnerships that bring together industry and academia. The SMART USA Institute will be the first-of-its-kind Digital Twin institute that will lead the world in revolutionizing semiconductor and advanced packaging manufacturing.
